Lunar stepped out and onto the warm beach. The sand felt wonderful on her paws, and an occasional sharp shell pricked it, but Lunar didn't care one bit! The thing that she was wanting right now was a drink that would wetten up her throat, which was as dry as a desert on the hottest day of the year.
Lunar looked at the shady forest and sighed, but knew she couldn't go back until her exercise was completed and she found the drink that she was looking for.
Lunar walked a bit faster, and that made her chain bounce a bit on her leg, but she ignored the tiny pain, for it was nothing more than the feeling of a thorn poking into her leg. Her tail swished back and forth in a strange pattern, fast, then slow.
Soon, a small water spring came into view. She quickened her pace even more than it already was to reach it, and soon her paws dipped into the water. Lunar quickly and happily stuck her nose into the water just to make it wet once again, then took it out a bit and began to drink the wonderful water. It was like dry ice, but that was the best part about it.

Through the gates of Hell... _______________________________
Two icy blue eyes stared out from the trees gazing at the wolf. They seemed to linger for a long time drinking in the details of the intruder, pondering the nature and almost the soul of the wolf on the beach. When she moved the eyes would move with her. The wolf behind them treading carefully but quickly to avoid any sound also making sure to keep himself downwind. Never having seen another wolf since the gathering at his brothers execution Solace was entranced. Moving without a care she seemed so relaxed and happy whereas he smouldered inside. The killing of his brother still stung and he found he could do little to control the burst of sorrow that almost brought tears to his eyes. He could remeber every detail. The cursed royals moving up beside his brother when the debt was not paid and killing him in cold blood.
Though he was nothing like this wolf. Not even like himself. She was a rich black and her fur was sleek, although, she seemingly wore feathers within her tail and had a chain rapped around her ankle. 'Impracticle' he thought to himself as he tried to keep pace. The accessories would interupt with all fast or strenuous activities.
As they neared a spring, Solace was moving too quickly now to calculate every step as he kept pace with her meaning he would either have to slow and lose her or lose all trace of stealth. Thankfully it didn't come to that and she stopped near the spring which she evidently enjoyed, drinking the cool water on a blistering day such as this. Solace's mouth tasted dry as he tryed to remember when he had last eaten, or even had a drink. Unconciously he put his foot down too hard and caused a loud snap as a twig gave way a pups mistake. Cringing Solace almost leapt at the sound knowing now he had no way of not being discovered now he decided to risk the open area and strated to slink towards the spring emerging from the tree line slowly and cautiously keeping his head down and ready to run at the first sign of trouble.

A loud crack virated in Lunar's delicate ears. She whirled around, cursing at her self for not noticing any life form before now. But now the scent was there. Another canine! Lunar frowned, though, but cautiously walked forwards to where the white dog...or was it a wolf? He was skinny, but Lunar wanted to make a new friend.
"Hi, my name is Lunar." She said with caution. She stayed about three feet away from him, forcing a wolfish grin to her face. Her paws shufffled a bit, causing the anklet to clash against her leg. She tended to do that when she didn't know what was up against. A bruise would form, but Lunar was more interested in the dog faces her.
Would they be friends? Would Lunar actually have someone to talk to aside from her twin at night? Or would that just be another scar to add to the collection? But Lunar didn't really care. She had scars. She had a friend. She lived. She managed. But a friend would be useful...Autumn was coming, and even though the weather was nice, there were many flaws in the rivers. Lots and lots of flooding. It made her quite sad, and Lunar would love to talk about it. So she put on her best face-she wanted a friend!
