The Rebels
Just as the wolves of the game are opposites, the packs are also. Where the Royals gather in the camp regularly and talk In Very Loud Voices, the Rebels are quieter, calmer, gentler.
They live on the shadowed side of the Mountain - quite literally where the sun don't shine, and their habitat is cold. Everywhere you look is either covered in a silvery mist, or in sharp, scary distinction. Consequently new Wolves may become disorientated or confused by this, although the others learn to ignore it. Everywolf is treated as an equal, and if one is down they all go down with it; the mood of the pack depends on the mood of every individual wolf. They rarely speak, and if so in hushed voices, and many like to be alone, although they can get lonely sometimes.
To strangers they would seem cold and unyielding, and there are many loner and Royal tales about how the evil spirits reside on that side of the mountain and infect their souls. But in actual fact, the only thing that's gonna affect anyone over there is the fleas!
