Cold Fire had swum across to the island. She had done this because she was a good swimmer and she liked the peace because she didn't have many friends. No one was on the ilsand when she got there. No one being there made Cold Fire happy. She was not anti social and she would not hurt people but Cold Fire that was in the rebels said a lot of bad things to the Cold Fire that was a loner in the nights and she thought that everyone was as bad as her twin, so she never spoke to anyone and she didn't have any friends. This did not make Cold Fire sad. But she was lonely. Her fur was black on her back but she had streaks of silver in it, it was quite pretty, she didn't like her reflection because she didn't want to be vain. When she swam it dried quickly.
But then it had started raining, and Cold Fire was trapped on the island! The water in the lake was rough and dangerous and she could not swim back, now the waters were rising and she couldn't escape, she jumped on to a rock yelping. She wanted help but was too afraid of other wolves to shout for it so instead she just stood there terrified, hoping someone would save her soon... 228 words

Through the gates of Hell... _____________________________
Ice-blue eyes watched knowledgeably from the treeline on the island. Solace had swum over about a wek ago and had set up a temprorary camp on the small isle, a small cave sufficed for a rudimentary cave. This was the first wolf he had seen in an age on this island though and she intruiged him. Long ago had he forsaken the compnay of other wolves after his brother's death but this one seemed different, not 'petty' enough to ignore.
Her fur seemed to produce an aura of malice, though the shimmering silver on top with the small wings attracted his gaze, in comparison his own markings were basic browns and greys but they blended seemlessly with the surrounding forest leaving only his eyes to stand out. As the wolf played his insanity ate away at him forcing out his feeling of intriguige and once again replacing it with sorrow. The loss of his twin rebounded within his head, the last howls of his brother cursing him.
Although the feeling of sorrow remained the insanity could not completely overrule the feeling of content and he lay to watch the small wolf, his paws folding beneath his muzzle as he watched, his eyes slwoly shutting.
He woke to find that a storm was now in the making. The wind around him whipped the trees into a hail of needles and the lakeside frothed with the rage of the wind. the waves tore at the beach as the tide came in. Jumping from his sitting position he scanned the beach looking for the wolf he saw earlier. Spotting her on top of a rock stranded by the rising tide thoughts flew through his mind, all fatigue forgotten.
Grabbing the nearest, strongest and longest branch he could carry in his jaws he leaped onto the beach and started forward towards the stranded wolf. His mind reeling from the wild abandon at which he had left his cover. Upon reaching the shoreline he reached out as far as he could over the roiling sea and poked the stranded wolf in the hind leg with the end of the branch.

Cold Fire was very afraid, her black tail was drawn between her legs and her small wings wrapped around her for warmth because she was cold, she still didn't cry out for fear of bad wolves. She could almost hear her twin's cruel laugh in her head right now even though it was still the day.......... She looked up out at the lake wondering if she could swim back across, the waters were rising it was that or drown..... Her heart beat really hard and it scared her! A splash lapped at her paw and she couldn't help jumping back and yelping, but being on the edge of her short ledge already she felt one back paw slip so it was even wetter imedittly. She was so scared. Then there was a jab at the paw that wasn't wet,and she span around, and there was another wolf! He was quite large and quite handsome and if she hadn't been so scared she might have liked him but she was still afraid he was going to be mean so she didn't move forward immediately, instead she stayed still because she knew if she moved she might fall off. He was holding a huge stick. She wandered how he had got over to her. He seemed to have swum all the way..... Unless he had been on the island before it flooded! That also scared her a bit because she thought she was alone, it wasn't too small for two wolves not to see eachother? But she knew if she didn't go to him soon she would drown, what if they both drowned? After all no good ever seemed to come from her being around other wolves, she was as bad as her twin really, this scared her too. But she knew it was drown here or maybe drown out there, she faced her fear gritted her teeth, turned around and put one paw gingerly on the branch. 327 words
